More than 30 Metro Schools students have been honored by the College Board in its National Recognition Program for their outstanding scores on the PSAT or Advanced Placement exams.
The students, who are seniors at Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet High School, Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Magnet High School and John Overton High School, were recognized last month as Commended Students or received the National African American Recognition Award or the National Hispanic Recognition Award.
“Your students earned this recognition because of their academic achievements in school and outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and/or AP Exams,” the College Board wrote in an email to high school principals. “They've accomplished these milestones during an immensely demanding period of their high school career.”
