Services for Students & Families

If you, or your student, seek services, have questions or need help, you will find a lengthy list of services - from before and aftercare to meals and transportation - plus community-based services information on our website.

  • If you cannot find what you need, or prefer to speak to someone, the first step is to reach out to your school, school administration and/or school counselor.
  • The staff at the Family Information Center also can answer your questions and connect you to someone who can help. Translation and interpreter services are available.
  • For students, there is more support information on the Student Resources page and the Community Resource Guide.

Student Advocacy Centers

Do you know we have Advocacy Centers in several schools, with more to come? The rooms provide short-term interventions (e.g., 15-30 minutes) on-the-spot when needed to help students feel better and get back on track during the school day, and develop pro-social skills that support emotional and behavioral regulation and school success.

Student & Family Support Videos

The Family & Student Support team creates educational videos on topics to help and strengthen our students, families and school community. The videos often in English, Spanish and Arabic and topics range from restorative parenting to tips for dealing with anxiety, parent-teacher conferences and more.

A playlist is on the Metro Schools YouTube channel.
