Exciting times are here as we launch the kindergarten enrollment season for the 2024-2025 school year.
Existing Pre-K families and all Davidson County parents and guardians with children turning five years old on or before August 15, 2024, are invited to register for kindergarten at Metro Schools.
Whether you are a first-time parent at Metro Schools, new to Davidson County, or have had children in our kindergarten classrooms before, you will see that each of MNPS’s 70 elementary schools offers vast opportunities and partnerships, fun activities, and an engaged and caring staff to meet every student’s needs.
In Metro’s kindergarten classrooms, students foster a love for learning through exploration and curiosity in language-rich, diverse environments. Teachers begin building upon essential social and emotional learning skills while providing enriching and challenging lessons that focus on the development of the whole child.
Current MNPS Pre-K families: We’ve already saved you a seat! Enrolling in kindergarten has gotten even easier! Log in or create an account with Campus Parent Portal, review your child’s existing documents, upload immunization records, update any missing or outdated information and submit.
As a reminder, kindergarten registration is still required even if a child already attends an MNPS Pre-K program or is applying for a school outside their zone as part of our School Options process.
A smooth transition to kindergarten is essential to a successful start to a child’s academic journey. Starting kindergarten can also be an emotional time for the whole family, so MNPS has made it their goal to make the process as easy and comfortable as possible. Registration is simple - families can register for school online or at one of our eight enrollment centers.
