Get Involved

Advocate and Engage on Behalf of All Children

Family engagement and volunteers are an integral part of education. Our goal is to build conditions necessary to chart a path toward effective family and community engagement efforts that are linked to student achievement and school improvement.

Metro Schools is excited to partner with families and volunteers to enrich our students' educational experience.

The more involved you are in your child's education, the more successful your child will be.

We value parents who can navigate multiple roles: Supporter, encourager, monitor, advocate, decision maker, collaborator.
From helping with special events (sports, school plays, school meetings), helping with community outreach or providing mentoring, tutoring, or support at the district and school front offices, there are many ways to get involved.
  • Connect with your school support organization, or talk to your school about starting one.
  • Check to see if there already is an active organization volunteering and supporting your school, and consider supporting their efforts.
  • Learn more about the Parent Advisory Council, a parent-run organization that promotes collaboration and communication with parents, schools and district.
