Tutor Training Modules

All volunteer and external tutors will complete asynchronous - on your own time - training modules.  MNPS staff tutors will complete asynchronous training via Schoology.

• Volunteer and external tutors, begin with Module 1: Getting Started, which provides an overview of the Accelerating Scholars program and guidance on completing the remaining training modules.  2024-2025 revised training modules will be released in July, 2024.
• MNPS staff tutors, access  Accelerating Scholars Staff Tutor Training in Schoology.  The 2024-2025 course will be available in July, 2024.
• Any tutors who do not hold an active teaching license should also complete one of the following trainings:
  • Complete the Reading 360 Early Reading Training Course (Week 1) to tutor Kindergarten-3rd grade students in Literacy.
  • Complete the TN ALL Corps Tutor Training for Aspiring and Alternate Educators to tutor 4th-9th grade students in Literacy or Math.
• Email your completion certificate. Please note that single sign-on (SSO) credentials are not required for tutors who do not hold a teaching license; tutors should enter their own names and email addresses to access the training.
