Birth to Three

Metro Nashville Public Schools educators and staff are dedicated to supporting a healthy start for all Davidson County children.

Our Grow Together with MNPS initiative for families with children ages birth to three provides a connecting point so families can get to know our school communities and all they have to offer - even before a child starts pre-K and Kindergarten.

Pre-Kindergarten

Your child's first classroom curriculum is nationally-recognized and focused on interactive and engaging activities that promote cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development.

Metro Schools Pre-K classrooms are at some schools across the district and at four early learning centers.

While there is an annual priority application window, families can apply to attend a Metro Schools preschool if there is availability.

How to Register for Kindergarten

Students can attend their zoned school or apply to an MNPS optional school.
