What Makes Our School Unique?

Welcome to McKissack Professional Development School where effective teachers challenge each student to reach their full potential! Our students are our top priority! Our elementary students are challenged through a rigorous reading and math curriculum. Enrichment and encore classes are offered at the elementary level for our gifted and talented students. We also provide an advanced curriculum for our 7th and 8th grade students by offering Algebra I, Spanish I, and Physical Science for high school credit.

Through our work as a Professional Development School, we model effective teaching practices and strive to provide the very best educational experiences for our students and teachers of tomorrow. It is our goal to maintain a strong home/school partnership and keep our parents informed as well as encourage them to actively participate in the education of their child. We believe that educating students is a collaborative process. By forming a close working relationship with local social agencies, colleges, and universities, our students benefit from numerous resources and learning opportunities that enrich and extend their academic experiences.

If you have any questions, please call our school. We are very proud of what is taking place at McKissack Professional Development School and extend a cordial welcome to you to come and visit us!
