The Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools announces a vacancy in the following position:

Transition Teacher at Stratford High School
LENGTH OF POSITION 10 months

QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a current State of Tennessee license in special or general education; be able to provide evidence of successful classroom teaching and/or experience in the area of transition services. Applicant should be endorsed in to coordinate school based and work based experiences for students.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop a transition program at Stratford high school that will serve as a model program. Responsible for developing a menu of options for students with disabilities as they transition from high school. Develop partnerships with various stakeholders to develop interagency involvement and participation of families.
