The Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education announces a vacancy in the following position:

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
Information Technology
12 Months - Pay Grade 13 - Base Hourly Rate -$28.52

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

High School Diploma or GED. Three (3) to five (5) years successful experience in all aspects of database administration in the Microsoft SQL Server equipment. Successful experience in the administration of other industry standard database platforms is a plus. Documented evidence of sufficient formal post-secondary education and training in the areas of computer technology, database architectural design and administration and other related areas.

Ensures proper optimization and maintenance of database structures employed in supporting all critical MNPS software systems applications. Uses demonstrated expertise in database management and administration techniques to maintain optimum database architecture and data structure; assists Information Technology development staff in creating and maintaining SIS query and report applications.
