Metropolitan Action Commission’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

Metro Action Commmission understands the impact the current economic downturn has had on employment and resources for Metro famililes. The Metropolitan Action Commission’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) offers assistance to income eligible Davidson County residents with paying their electricity and natural gas bills.Upon approval, our agency would make a payment directly to the customer’s account, such as Nashville Electric Service (NES) or Piedmont Gas.

Eligible customers:

  • Have not been helped by Metro Action between July 1, 2008 and now
  • Meets the Federal Income Guideline (see schedule below)
  • Service has not been disconnected
  • Lives in Davidson County
