If your child is demonstrating a pattern of serious difficulty in school and frequently exhibits learning problems, consideration of exceptional education services may be needed.
Enrolling your child for exceptional education services in Metro Nashville Public Schools is a simple process with seven straight-forward steps. Most of these tasks must be performed in person, many with the assistance of MNPS personnel. To find out how to start enrolling your child, look at the questions below and act accordingly. For further assistance, please feel free to contact our team.

| Please begin with "Step 1" to your right, or contact your child’s teacher or principal. (Find a list of schools and contact information here.) They will meet with you to discuss your child’s performance in the class and you will decide together about the need for any additional support / evaluations for your child. |
We want to hear from you. If you’d like to find out more about the exceptional education services available for children starting at age 3, please call us and/or come to the monthly information meetings. You will need to follow the process listed in the steps below. |
