The Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools announces a vacancy in the following position:

INSTRUCTIONAL FACILITATOR SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

QUALIFICATIONS:

Certification in Special Education; this individual will provide technical assistance to teachers, principals and other school personnel in general and special education issues.

The Instructional Facilitator Special Education teacher will serve under the supervision and direction of Coordinators in the Department of Special Education.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Director of Special Education, provide instructional support and professional development to teachers designed specifically to enhance teaching and learning strategies.  Extensive knowledge of data analysis with the regard to NCLB requirements and IDEIA compliance is mandatory.  Experience working with low performing schools is preferred.   

Salary grade:  Teacher pay scale

Exact placement on the salary schedule depends upon educational qualifications and experience.
