If the class begins in less than a week or has already started, call the site coordinator to check for enrollment availability before submitting a registration. Unless you hear otherwise, come for the first class session on the start date.
•
Should I look for a receipt in the mail?
No receipts are mailed. If you have questions about your registration, please contact the site coordinator for the location of the class you have selected.
•
What is my class fee used for?
Each coordinator determines a class fee according to the cost of the specific class and the number of people needed to “materialize” the class. These costs include paying the instructor and may include supplies. Funds are deposited in program accounts overseen by the school system, and all specific program expenses are transacted through those accounts.
•
Can I get credit or a certificate for a class?
Community education classes are usually non-credit. (The exception is some technical/mechanical classes, such as HVAC.) We also host a number of college-level classes, and encourage people needing credits to contact the institutions of higher learning for information.

Who funds community education?
In Nashville, funding comes from two sources, the Metropolitan Government, which funds the Community Education Alliance, and the Metropolitan Board of Public Education. This partnership is called Metro Nashville Community Education. These funds provide salaries for fulltime employees, administrative costs, and county-wide program support and promotion.
